Last 10 Days: WLLLLWLLWL
Overall Results (Since June 7): $2444 Profit
Bet One- Win- Taree Race Two Number 6 Raay Of Time:
You’d like to think this filly puts them away. Daughter of Time Thief on debut for Kris Lees and she has looked quite good in a couple of trials, the latest seeing her win over 800m at Newcastle on the Beaumont track. This field seemingly looks quite thin on paper and she doesn’t have to be a star to put them away.
Suggested Bet: $50 Win (Tote)
Bet Two- Win- Kembla Race One Number 7 Colonel Penaga:
$5 is the sort of price where it could go either way. Could tighten in to around $4 or he could have no friends and easy to $7+. I’m leaning towards the latter even though the race looks thin. Forget he went around last time at Nowra because the horse took complete charge of Winona Costin and ducked into the quicksand. Senior jock on now, he can bounce back.
Suggested Bet: $20 Win (Tote)
Bet Three- Win- Kembla Race Three Number 3 Oyster Bay:
Surprised she isn’t a clear favourite personally. Team Snowden trains this mare, who is first up. The form around her from the two career runs in the Autumn reads well and she has looked great in a couple of trials leading in. Should get a beaut sit from the good draw and take some beating against this lot.
Suggested Bet: $30 Win at $2.70 (Sportsbet)
Bet Four- Win- Warrnambool Race Three Number 8 Romelo:
Clean jumping and he’ll prove far too good for this lot. Former WA galloper who has had a few runs for Eric Musgrove on the flat and gee he has been quite good, the latest on Sunday at Sandown when second to the progressive mare Kentucky Diva. Has trialled well over the jumps and Pateman takes the ride.
Suggested Bet: $100 Win (Tote)
Bet Five- Win- Warrnambool Race Four Number 1 Killarney Kid:
Similar to Romelo. Clean jumping and he wins. He’s been quite a good horse on the flat but as he is getting older, he’s just not quite measuring up well enough and his future will be over the jumps now. Debuted over the hurdles last time at Bendigo and he bolted in. This is a very thin field and he really should be too good.
Suggested Bet: $50 Win (Tote)
Total Spend: $250
