Bet One- Each Way- Kembla Grange Race One Number 1 Fireman Sam I Am:
Each way play for sure. Just under a month between runs since racing over the 1890m at Newcastle where he was on speed throughout and tired late when third to Shadal. The form out of that has been franked with two subsequent winners and I think up to 2000m will really suit in what looks a rather thin race.
Suggested Bet: $10 E/W (Tote)
Bet Two- Each Way- Kembla Race Five Number 9 Highjacker:
Been on him in both runs this time in off a couple of very good trials, but he has faced wet tracks in those runs. On top of the ground this time so one last chance. I think that will really help his cause, he draws out, so he should be able to find the best part of the track and up to 1400m does look a big tick for this gelding.
Suggested Bet: $50 E/W at $8.5/$2.9 (Sportsbet)
Bet Three- Win- Cranbourne Race Five Number 7 The Sword:
Tough meeting at Cranbourne but he looks one of the better bets on the card. Worked home well first up over 1200m on the Pakenham Synthetic before racing over 1400m at Sandown last Wednesday where he again got back but worked home with real purpose to run an eye catching fourth. Third up at the mile on his home track, he’s very likeable.
Suggested Bet: $20 Win (Tote)
Bet Four- Each Way- Townsville Race Three Number 1 Bold Shot:
He is an emergency for the Cleveland Bay on Saturday, but I suspect he’ll run here. Two runs to start the prep have come at Rocky. First up. just looked in need of the run and then second up, he didn’t look entirely happy on the wet surface. Been given a mini freshen up and the tick over trial at the Sunny Coast looked pretty good. Has the class and should take some beating.
Suggested Bet: $25 E/W (Tote)
Bet Five- Win- Pinjarra Race One Number 8 Mystery Affair:
This is the bet of the day. David Harrison trains this filly, who ran over 1200m at Belmont a couple of Wednesdays back and gee whiz, if you were on, it was tough watching. Got back but was moving into the race really nicely when severely held up halfway down the straight when looking to burst through. Doubt she beats Yindi but goes close. Pike on from gate one, 1400m looks ideal. If she can hold a spot in the first half of the field, on form, she’ll be winning. Should be clearly odds on.
Suggested Bet: $200 Win at $2.15 (Crownbet)
Total Spend: $390
