Overall Results (Since June 7): $4358 Profit
Bet One- Win- Randwick Three Number 3 The Bandit:
Best of the day at Randwick for mine. On the quick back up after racing at Rosehill on Saturday where I thought Corey gave him every chance but was just no match for Tamarack. Drops a fair bit in depth here, gets J Mac steering and I’m always a fan of horses backing up seven days or sooner. Finds his right race, keen.
Bet: $50 Win at $2.4 (BetEasy)
Bet Two- Win- Randwick Race Four Number 7 Kedah:
I like her but I think the $3 currently on offer is a tad short, so take the tote and I think you’ll get better. Kris Lees trains this filly and she resumed with a pretty dominant win over 900m at Newcastle. Don’t think she beat much but she put them away and was impressive in doing so. Harder here but big ticks are gate one and J Mac steering.
Bet: $40 Win at $3 (BetEasy)
Bet Three- Win – Queanbeyan Race Two Number 4 Nobody’s Puppet:
Has had a couple of runs now for Nick Olive and after trying to stretch him out to 1200m, I think (hope) they’ve realised he’s a short course horse. Gets the perfect set up to break the maiden tag. Good draw, 900m, should lead, roll along and prove too good, even though he’ll get tired late. Do I want to take $1.60? No. Hopefully you’ll get $2+ on the tote.
Bet: $50 Win (Tote)
Bet Four- Win- Moe Race Six Number 6 Thoughtful Harmony:
Made her my best of the day. I think she’s on an upward spiral for the Gelagotis boys. Ran over this track/distance just under two weeks back in a maiden and despite covering ground near the back, she rounded them up and was far too good. Got plenty to offer re upside and Maskiell has really been seeing them nicely recently.
Bet: $60 Win at $3.4 (TAB)
Bet Five- Each Way- Gatton Race Two Number 2 Where’s The Money:
Throw at the stumps in an awful maiden. When the favourite is a 12 start maiden, that tells you the depth isn’t flash. This is a Captain Sonador gelding on debut. Hasn’t been sighted at the trials, draws wide, but there has been early money for him since markets opened and he doesn’t have to be a star to put these away. I’ll take a chance.
Bet: $10 E/W at $13/$3.5 (TAB)
Total Spend: $220
