Grafton
$55 Win Spirit Of Indigo R3 @ $1.85 (Bet365)
$45 Win Malmoosa R4 @ $4.80 (Bet365)
Grafton Overview:
Note that 365 was the only bookie with odds up for the meeting at the time of writing. Spirit Of Indigo is short enough in the third, but she should be putting them away. Debuted in a 1200m maiden at Coffs Harbour back on December 13 and was solid in defeat without being spectacular behind Moana Marie. Stablemate looked the only threat but it’s scratched. Should win. Made Malmoosa the best of the day. This mare for Daniel Bowen trialled up enormous prior to resuming over 1200m at Randwick where she got beat in an on pace dominated affair won by Clipper. Back to 1000m is the worry because she may get run off her legs, but if she’s close enough on the turn, she should be winning for mine. The $4.80 looks very acceptable.
Wyong
$55 Win Deelbrakka R3 @ $1.95 (BetEasy)
$45 Win Nindamos R8 @ $2.30 (Sportsbet)
Wyong Overview:
Couple of shorties but both should be winning. Deelbrakka has been a bit costly for punters this time in, but in saying that he has run well. Just hasn’t greeted the judge. If he can’t put this field away, I’d steer clear of him as a punting option. Just looks his race. Keen on Nindamos in the get out. Outstanding winner on debut over 1350m here before racing on the Kensington track and he was far from disgraced I thought when fourth to Ljungberg. That form just reads so well for this and off last start, the mile should be fine. Probably should start odds on and win like an odds on pop.
Great Western
$60 Win Ultimate Gold R1 @ $2.1 (Bet365)
$40 Win Zebrinz R6 @ $3.5 (Bet365)
Great Western Overview:
Note that 365 was the only bookie with odds up for the meeting at the time of writing. Been on Ultimate Gold in recent times and she has run well in much stronger maidens. Been waiting for her to find a weaker maiden and she gets it here. Plus she gets a good gate and the depth is thin. Happy to be in her corner. Zebrinz has been outstanding in all four runs this time in for Aaron Purcell, much better than what the form guide will read. Last run was last Saturday in the Camperdown Cup where he was just outgunned by Here To There. Like he’s on the quick turnaround and I don’t think the depth here is that much stronger. Happy to be on at the price.
