Bet One- Each Way- Wyong Race Four Number 4 Momentum To Win:
Bludger of a race so I’ll go with the horse with upside, which is clearly this horse. Ran over the mile here last time and while he probably had his chance, he was held up for a couple of strides and he’s a horse who needs to build the revs. Up to 2100m looks ideal for him and he can definitely run a bold race at odds.
Suggested Bet: $10 E/W (Tote)
Bet Two- Win- Nowra Race Four Number 9 Colonel Penaga:
The weather is crucial to his changes because on a dry track, I think he’s a good thing, but with the forecast for rain, my confidence is dented somewhat but at the odds, I’ll give him a chance. Excellent run last time in a Kembla maiden won by Sweetest Eyes, and that horse franked the form at Newcastle. Should take beating, but the wet track is a query.
Suggested Bet: $20 Win at $5 (BetEasy)
Bet Three- Win- Cranbourne Race Nine Number 7 Haripour:
I think the only thing beating this horse is bad luck/bias. Bad luck was the order of the day for him last time at Flemington where he was seemingly bolting for a run but just had no luck getting clear in the straight. This is a significant drop in grade/depth for this Weir import, and if he turns up with his best, he should be too good.
Suggested Bet: $100 Win at $2.7 (BetEasy)
Bet Four- Win- Beaudesert Race One Number 2 Knuckle Up:
He should be a clear fav for mine. Started big odds when resuming in what looked a decent maiden at Ipswich and he should have finished much closer. No luck on the turn when looking to build momentum and should have finished a couple of lengths closer IMO behind Ancient Aztec. Gate one, Blinkers FT, gate one…gee he looks well placed.
Suggested Bet: $50 Win at $4.8 (Sportsbet)
Bet Five- Win Multi- Devonport Race Three Number 2 Speedonova/Race Seven Number 1 Prince Of Virtue:
Probably could back Prince Of Virtue straight out, but Speedonova should be winning her race. 2/2 this time in and has been dominant each start. Should be winning. Prince Of Virtue was just so impressive on debut, did plenty wrong but won like a good horse. Keen on his chances despite the tricky gate.
Suggested Bet: $30 at $5.95 (Sportsbet)
Total Spend: $210
