Last 10 Days: LWWWWLLLLL
Overall Results (Since June 7): $4790 Profit
Bet One- Win- Armidale Race One Number 10 Principle:
I think she’s the clear overs in this event. Stirling Osland trains this filly, who is on debut. Won a trial here by ten lengths and did it under a hold. She beat camels but she did it very easily, and Stirling on his home track is very hard to beat. Around that $5-$5.50 mark, I’m more than happy to have something on.
Suggested Bet: $20 Win at $5.5 (Bet365)
Bet Two- Each Way- Armidale Race Five Number 10 Camayoc:
Had something on him at Port last time and he wasn’t too bad I thought. Ran over 1500m where he had a reasonable run near the speed and tried hard but lacked the ping behind O’Driscoll. Form has been okay without winners, he shouldn’t be far away from gate one and I can easily back him each way.
Suggested Bet: $10 Win/$20 Place at $26/$6 (Neds)
Bet Three- Win – Ararat Race Three Number 8 Du To Pass:
Bet of the day for mine. Thought there was merit in his run last time at Stawell, but those who took the short odds wouldn’t have cared about that. He did work to get on speed and was just found wanting late. He won’t be far away from the good draw and Blinkers on first time will hopefully sharpen him up.
Suggested Bet: $50 Win at $2.7 (Neds)
Bet Four- Win- Ararat Racee Five Number 7 Doves Cry:
I think she’s the safe way to go. Talented daughter of Street Cry resuming for Henry Dwyer where she is 2/2 first up and they have been career best outings. Bit of depth to this line up, and has a tricky draw, but she looked sharp enough to my eye in a recent jump out and has the pace to overcome the draw on a track where on speed will be the A1 spot.
Suggested Bet: $50 Win at $2.4 (Sportsbet)
Bet Five- Win- Townsville Race One Number 5 Imanui:
Thought they’d miss him…they haven’t. I think take the tote because $2 is just too short. If he wins and pays shorter, so be it, but I can’t take even money for him even though at his best, he’s got these covered. Formerly with Ron Quinton, he had shown good talent in Sydney but just wasn’t racing well enough to warrant staying there. Now up here with Jeff Caught, who is 18% with first up runners. At his best, he’ll win, but market will be the guide.
Suggested Bet: $50 Win (Tote)
Total Spend: $200
