Bet One- Win- Taree Race One Number 2 Eskimo Commander:
Tough program at Taree, especially with likely heavy rain on the day. Get the best bet out of the way early via this Theresa Bateup trained gelding, who ran over the track/distance during the Carnival and was brave in defeat when second to Esplanade. Blinkers FT, drops a bit in depth and on breeding, she should swim.
Suggested Bet: $50 Win at $3 (BetEasy)
Bet Two- Each Way- Taree Race Five Number 14 Eye Was:
There are a few at double figure odds I can entertain at Taree, starting with this girl. She’s had a couple of runs over the mile now, the latest at this track when working home well late in the piece behind Grand Soleil. Racing as if the 2000m will be okay, she can handle a track with give in it and can sit much closer from the good gate.
Suggested Bet: $10 E/W at $16/$4.60 (BetEasy)
Bet Three- Each Way- Taree Race Six Number 2 Sepae:
If we indeed do get a wet track, Sepae should be a single figure chance given his best efforts have come on rain affected ground. He didn’t get that first up at Gunnedah but I thought he worked home well enough behind Escebee. Has a good overall record at Taree, saves his best for wet tracks and he looks clear overs.
Suggested Bet: $10 E/W at $17/$5 (BetEasy)
Bet Four- Each Way- Taree Race Eight Number 11 Crossing Guard:
Another that I’m happy to entertain at double figure odds. I reckon Paul Perry has this bloke going quite well. He’s ten years of age but is racing with a healthy amount of zest. Ran over the 1200m at Tamworth last time out and was a real eye catcher I thought late in the piece behind I Wear Prada. Was back in trip that afternoon so back up to 1400m from a good gate with weight relief, plus give in the track, he’s likeable.
Suggested Bet: $15 E/W at $10/$3.2 (BetEasy)
Bet Five- Win Multi- Wangaratta Race One Senrima Tide/Race Five Octane:
Was keen to back Octane but not at $1.50, so I’ll it into a multi, beginning with Senrima Tide in the opener. Mick Price trains this gelding, who is around three weeks between runs since racing over the mile at Cranbourne where he was one of the runs of the day I thought from the back behind Maddie Lynn, and the form has been franked with two winners already coming out of the race. This pair should be winning.
Suggested Bet: $40 at $2.54 (Sportsbet)
Total Spend: $160
