Bet One- Win- Grafton Race One Number 2 The Eulo Queen:
When the first markets went up, I thought she was a bit thin, but when you screw down the race and see the depth and lack thereof, she looks a moral. Just found Foxy’s Foxinator too good here during the Carnival two back before getting a very easy kill at Ballina. Three weeks between runs and blinkers on, plus Fuji sticks. Very likeable.
Suggested Bet: $50 Win at $2.05 (BetEasy)
Bet Two- Win- Grafton Race Six Number 8 Nothingforthepress:
I like him but he’s well found in early markets, so I think he’ll ease come race time. Resumed over 1200m at Doomben in what looked a decent Class 3 where he attempted to lead all the way but just tired late behind Happy Hooves in a race where the form has been franked. Great record here and I’d love to see Orman take a sit.
Suggested Bet: $30 Win (Tote)
Bet Three- Each Way- Gunnedah Race Six Number 4 Gadfly:
Looks extremely hard to beat for mine. Ran in the Bengalla Cup at the Brook last start where he got a mile out of his ground but when he got clear, he finished off quite well late to run a close up fifth. Can sit much closer from the good draw and if he does take advantage of the inside gate, clearly the horse to beat.
Suggested Bet: $25 E/W (Tote)
Bet Four- Win- Swan Hill Race Three Number 12 Masterbrax:
Surprised there is nearly $3 on offer because I think he deserves to be odds on. Comes through a 1100m maiden at Geelong where he worked to the line well enough I thought behind an impressive winner in More Sundays, a horse being talked up as a Guineas contender. Drops big time in depth and I think he draws the right part of the track. Only bad luck beats him IMO.
Suggested Bet: $50 Win at $2.80 (Sportsbet)
Bet Five- Each Way- Swan Hill Race Eight Number 8 Liberty’s Gift:
Always been a fan of this mare for Dan McCarthy but consistency has been her issue. She’s just starting to regather that though in recent times, the latest run coming during the Mildura Carnival when third to Another Bender, her first go at the trip. Think she should come right on from that and was pretty slick in her debut win at this track.
Suggested Bet: $10 E/W at $8/$2.70 (Tote)
Total Spend: $200
