Sunday Results: $55 Profit
Last 10 Days: WLWWWWLLLL
Overall Results (Since June 7): $4845 Profit
Bet One- Win- Ballina Race One Number 1 Cliodhna:
I think she’ll win but $1.80 at the time of writing this is a bit short. Think you’ll get $2 come jump time. This mare was a month between runs when getting the job done over 1400m at the Gold Coast on Cup Day, leading all the way despite copping pressure. May cop pressure again, but I like her back to 1300m and she isn’t badly treated at the weights given she’s a three time winner.
Suggested Bet: $50 Win (Tote)
Bet Two- Each Way- Ballina Race Seven Number 2 Engraved:
I think the bookies have missed him. I had him marked down much shorter. Month between runs when racing over 1400m at Beaudesert where he was back/wide from a sticky gate and made up good ground late. Form out of that has been franked, up to the mile should suit and he has gate one, so he can sit much closer in the run.
Suggested Bet: $25 E/W Place at $13/$4 (TAB)
Bet Three- Each Way – Ballina Race Eight Number 3 My Cousin Rhett:
Another that appears way overs for mine. Hasn’t raced since early October at the Gold Coast midweeks where he ran fourth of five but was only beaten under five lengths by a proper city horse in Freddie Fox Trot, who would be Winx odds here. Freshened up and though squeezed, I really liked the way he trialled here last week. Happy to be on at double figures.
Suggested Bet: $10 Win/$20 Place at $12/$3.6 (BetEasy)
Bet Four- Win- Kilmore Race One Number 9 The Banana Stand:
Could call me mad for making a 31 start maiden the good thing of the day, but I think she is. There is absolutely no depth to this field and barring bad luck, I think she’ll put them away. There has been subsequent winners from her races in every start this time in. Latest run was at St Arnaud where she ran so bravely, sitting wide no cover for the last 1000m+ and only went down around just under a length. Digress looks a jumper with no flat speed, and Shaun Phelan is one of the best jumps/highweight riders in New Zealand.
Suggested Bet: $100 Win at $2.05 (BetEasy)
Bet Five- Win- Kilmore Race Five Number 10 Etana:
I think she’s a nice type for the Maher/Eustace team. Debuted over 1300m at Warrnambool a few weeks ago and I thought she did a really good job to get the win. Sat on speed and was there to be beaten but she kept finding under Meech and proved too good. Time was nothing flash, but she looks to have ticker. Like her up to the 1462 and she should get a dream run, either leading or sitting outside Drysdale Spirit.
Suggested Bet: $30 Win at $4.2 (BetEasy)
Total Spend: $260
