Overall Results (Since June 7): $2845 Profit
Bet One- Win- Ballina Race One Number 12 The Eulo Queen:
This should start the day perfectly for punters. Daughter of Hidden Dragon who has had two runs back from a spell, resuming with a second at Taree in a race which has produced two winners before going to Grafton where she was a bit unlucky but on the line was held up Foxy’s Foxinator. Third up now, so she should be hard fit, draws well and the depth looks far inferior compared to what she’s faced this prep.
Suggested Bet: $50 Win at $2.10 (Crownbet)
Bet Two- Win- Ballina Race Three Number 2 Ruler:
He’s burned several holes in my pocket this prep…one more chance before a life ban. Ran over 1200m at the Gold Coast last start and he just did his usual thing. Ordinary out of the gates, immediately conceding a start before eventually picking up and finishing off strongly for a placing. Plumb back on…plenty of gear changes to hopefully spark him. Just needs to sit in the first half of the field and he’ll be too good.
Suggested Bet: $35 Win at $3 (Crownbet)
Bet Three- Win- Canberra Race One Number 4 Spencer:
He’s a cat but I think he can pinch this rather ordinary race. He’s been ridden a treat on speed by Blake Shinn at his past two at the provincials but has turned it up when asked for the big effort. This is a significant drop in depth and for mine, he should lead for fun with in form hoop Kayla Nisbet steering.
Suggested Bet: $50 Win (Tote)
Bet Four- Win- Canberra Race Two Number 3 Sheezacraftsman:
I think Kayla Nisbet can chalk up an early double courtesy of this mare, who is 2/2 at the track and I think she’ll make it 3/3. Ran over the 1750m here a fortnight back where she was in a battle halfway down the straight but when Billy Owen got fair dinkum, she drew clear and attacked the line, suggesting that 1900m will be ideal. More depth, but confident she can get the job done.
Suggested Bet: $50 Win (Tote)
Bet Five- Win- Broome Race Four Number 1 Axel Foley:
Yep…I’m going to Broome for a good thing and I think this is well and truly a good thing, much like Mystery Affair yesterday. Black figures is good enough for me. Ran over the 1300m at the track last time in a maiden where he was wide no cover but he was bolting and once Peter Hall asked for the effort, he just careered away and gapped his rivals. I think only bad luck beats him.
Suggested Bet: $200 Win at $2.15 (Sportsbet)
Total Spend: $385
