Bet One- Win- Taree Race Four Number 12 Al Pheroz:
Daughter of Al Maher for Tracey Bartley, who has a couple of nice chances at Taree but this does look the best. Three weeks between runs since racing over 1400m at Tamworth where she had the nice sit just off the pace and tried hard but couldn’t quite finish it off behind impressive winner Ratler. I think up to the mile suits and on a dry Taree track, being on rail/on speed will be no disadvantage.
Suggested Bet: $25 Win at $4.6 (Sportsbet)
Bet Two- Win- Ipswich Race Six Number 7 Cailini:
Had this girl blackbooked after she trialled in September and she was due to debut in early October but was tipped out. Been given a long break, back in work and I thought her June 26 trial at Doomben was once again very good. Reckon she’s well above average but I think she only has to be average to put this lot away.
Suggested Bet: $100 Win (Tote)
Bet Three- Each Way- Geelong Race Four Number 2 Equiamico:
Pat Cannon trains this three year old and I reckon he’s bursting to win a race. Three weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance where he was on speed throughout and tried very hard under Jordan Childs but the class of Pretty Bella kicked in and proved too good. He’s the pick of the raced brigade IMO. Just depends how good the first starters are.
Suggested Bet: $20 E/W (Tote)
Bet Four- Each Way- Geelong Race Six Number 8 East West:
I reckon he’s worth a throw at the stumps each way in a tough race for the stayers. He ran over this track/distance three weeks ago and his effort was pretty good I thought considering he got a mile back and had to make a long sustained run, eventually just missing out on the win when second to Il Divo. If he’s close enough on the turn without spending as many petrol tickets. He’s right in the game.
Suggested Bet: $10 Win/$15 Place (Tote)
Bet Five- Win- Geelong Race Eight Number 7 The Bont:
I’d be surprised if this bloke doesn’t run top three. Synthetic specialist for Shay Keating who comes back to 1100m after racing over 1200m here last start. Jamie Mott looked to give the horse a peach ride off the speed and once he got clear, it looked game over but a hard 1200m sees him out and he was grabbed late. Back to 1100m off a fast speed, gee he looks hard to beat.
Suggested Bet: $30 Win (Tote)
Total Spend: $220
