Bet One- Win- Race One Number 2 Ocean Walzer:
I think at the price, he’ll take a power of beating. Former German galloper who has taken his time to show his true colours in Australia but he finally got the maiden win out of the way last time at Swan Hill over 2100m, starting short odds and winning accordingly, attacking the line with purpose in a good sign despite doing a bit wrong. Hopefully the trip away will sharpen him up. Think he should be near fav,
Suggested Bet: $40 Win at $3.3 (BetEasy)
Bet Two- Win- Race Two Number 2 Girl Tuesday:
Short but should be winning. Debuted over 1400m here a tick under three weeks back and produced one of the better debuts in recent times with a barnstorming effort from the back to win, most notably the last 150m where she savaged the line. Bred to be a beauty. Looks to have the ability. Touch under $2 is fine.
Suggested Bet: $60 Win at $1.7 (BetEasy)
Bet Three- Each Way- Race Three Number 4 Coppergate:
I think he’s well and truly over the odds. Formerly with Tony McEvoy but is now with Clare Cunningham. If he runs to his best, he’ll be winning. Can mix the form but now with Cunningham and his two trials leading in have been outstanding. Good enough to suggest 1200m fresh, he’ll be fine. Double figures is crazy.
Suggested Bet: $10 Win/$15 Place at $12/$3.6 (BetEasy)
Bet Four- Win- Race Four Number 10 Galina:
Keen on her. Quality filly who resumes for the Snowden camp and if you cast your mind back to the Winter, the stable did say this girl was better than Euwase, who of course went on to win some blacktype during the Brisbane Carnival. Taken their time with this girl and though she just brings one soft 700m trial leading in, class should get her home. Just needs luck from the sticky draw.
Suggested Bet: $50 Win at $2.15 (Sportsbet)
Bet Five- Each Way- Race Seven Number 1 Auvray:
Pretty solid edition of the Cup but I think this bloke looks a touch of overs. Richard Freedman trains this galloper, who resumed in the Premiers Cup at Rosehill and I thought his effort was superb for a resumption behind a high quality animal in Avilius. Been kept up to the mark with a closing 1200m trial at Warwick Farm behind Flow and though quickly up to 2300m, he does seem quite forward. Good to see he’s well backed.
Suggested Bet: $15 Win/$30 Place at $7/$2.5 (BetEasy)
Total Spend: $220
