A sticky barrier draw for Blue Diamond Stakes favourite Hanseatic has seen his odds drift in early final field markets for the $1.5m feature for two-year-olds.
The unbeaten Godolphin colt stamped himself as the horse to beat winning the Prelude from an almost impossible position in the straight although punters are a bit weary of backing the horse after he draw the inside barrier.
Hanseatic has settled back in the field in all three of his starts so the inside gate could prove to be his undoing on Saturday and bookies and punters agree with both being very cautious.
Hanseatic was as short as $2.10 with Ladbrokes on Tuesday morning prior to the final field but since the barriers have been conducted he is on the drift and is now sitting at $2.50.
Rulership has been the horse to firm in the market and is now into $6.00 from $7.50 this morning with Sportsbet.
