After a slashing second in the Cox Plate, Armory tightened in with the TAB in their all in market for the Mackinnon Stakes (2000m) on the final day of Melbourne Cup Week at Flemington.
The Aidan O’Brien trained four year old ran out of his skin in the race, looming to win, but having to settle for a second to former stablemate Sir Dragonet. He was $7 prior to the race but is now at $4.
Melody Belle, who has bounced back to her best in NZ and is confirmed to head to the race, went to $5 from $6 despite not racing yesterday. Mugatoo, who went enormous in the Cox Plate, is $15 to $13.
