The third edition of the All-Star Mile will take place at The Valley on March 13 and TAB has opened Arcadia Queen, Behemoth and Russian Camelot $11 equal favourites before nominations close on January 11.
The Grant and Alana Williams-trained Arcadia Queen is a three-time Group 1 winner after adding the Caulfield Stakes and Mackinnon Stakes victories this spring to her 2018 Kingston Town Classic triumph.
The David Jolly-trained Behemoth won two Group 1s at Caulfield in the early part of the spring carnival – the Memsie Stakes and Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes – before finishing 10th in the TAB Everest at Randwick on October 17.
The Danny O’Brien-trained Russian Camelot won his second Group 1 in September’s Underwood Stakes and was placed in the Makybe Diva Stakes, Caulfield Stakes and Cox Plate before running eighth in the Melbourne Cup at Flemington on November 3.
Inaugural All-Star Mile winner Mystic Journey is one of five gallopers at $15 along with September’s Makybe Diva Stakes winner Fierce Impact and Melody Belle – victorious in 12 Group 1s.
Ole Kirk – triumphant in the Golden Rose and Caulfield Guineas – and The Epsom winner Probabeel are also $15 hopes.
