With the running of the first Group 1’s on Saturday we take a look at each of the runners in the field which includes last years Caulfield Guineas winner All Too Hard who will start as the short priced favourite in a nine horse field.
1. King Mufhasa Preview:
King Mufhasa will be returning to Australia after he made the trip from New Zealand in October to contest the Toorak Handicap in which he ran fifth. This preparation he has ran fourth in the Tauranga Stakes first up then ran second in the Group 2 Captain Cook Stakes before winning the Group 3 Challenge Stakes last start. He opened at $3.60 for Saturday’s C F Orr Stakes before drifting to his current quote of $4 due to the support for All Too Hard.

Western Australian galloper Mr Moet had a very successful preparation in WA and has made the trip across for the Melbourne Autumn Racing Carnival and will be having his first Victorian start in the C.F. Orr Stakes. You cannot knock his form going into the race and looks a good chance at $21 although they may be a bit too sharp for him over the distance, a placing would not shock though.

4. Pinwheel Preview:
One of the most honest gallopers in Australia Pinwheel rarely misses a cheque when he races. His first up run in the Australia Stakes was very impressive and looks like a contender in Saturday’s race but the current odds of $5.50 may be a little under what he should be with his strike rate at the distance and track is not too great. Once of the contenders.

Watch him finishing the race off well late.
