The big guns were out and firing on Tuesday morning at Rosehill last week and a multiple Group l winner caught my eye the most. Find out who down below:
BLACK BOOK: Black Book these runners HERE so you don’t miss their next run!
Rosehill- Tuesday, August 4, Weather Fine, Track Soft 6.
Heat One- Royal Descent (1st):
Classy mare who was nommed for the Missile last Saturday but was saved for another day. Where ever she resumes, she will take a power of beating based on how she trialled here. She led all the way under Nash and she just ambled in front, not being pushed out at any stage and coasted to the line under a really good hold.
Heat Four- Bounding (2nd):
Best of the morning by a long way. The former kiwi mare is now with Team Snowden, and gee she looked outstanding in this trial. She sat off leader and eventual winner Heart Testa all the way and she was just bolting outside that horse, and McEvoy could have easily pushed the button and the mare wins the trial, but he kept her together and she looked awesome. I’ll be surprised if she doesn’t win a Group l this Spring.
Heat Five- Takedown (1st):
Talented type for Gary Moore who has some lofty ambitions this Spring. This was his first public appearance since the Champagne, and he looked very good. Sat back in the run and wasn’t knocked about at any stage by McEvoy, but he did pick up ground nicely late under no pressure.
Heat Twelve- Sooboog (1st):
The only horse to have given Vancouver a real fright on race day, so that shows you how good this colt is, and he looks set for a big Spring after a very good trial win here, where he sat behind the leaders before Tommy peeled him out, and though he wanted to lay in, he was very impressive over the final 100m to win the trial in great style. Very keen to see where and when he resumes.
