Randwick- Thursday, September 17, Weather Fine, Track Good 4.
Heat One- Hartnell (1st):
I thought he ran great in the Chelmsford, and instead of running in the George Main, he trialled here, and he looked outstanding in winning this trial. He sat near last in the run before railing up, then getting a split without about 100m to go and bursting through to win under no pressure.
Heat Five- Harlem River (1st):
Well above average filly for Gai who was outstanding in her first trial here, and while she wasn’t as impressive here, she was still very good. She sat behind stablemate Countryman throughout before peeling off his back and letting down strongly under little pressure to get the job done.
Heat Ten- Peeping (1st):
Almost stole the show from Hartnell as best of the morning. She sat outside Dothraki all the way before cruising to a narrow lead with about 150m to go and going on to win the trial under triple wraps from Sam Clipperton. She was outstanding.
