There were some pretty impressive efforts at the Randwick trials on Friday, most notably from a French import. Find out down below who caught our eye the most.

Randwick- Friday, June 6, Weather Fine, Track Soft6.
Heat One- Cafe Society (1st):
Mark this horse down as one to follow for the Spring. He’s a Group l winner for sure. Gai Waterhouse has this French import, and her magic hands have sparked this horse immediately based on this trial effort. He settled just off the speed and was held up for a run until about the 250m mark, then McEvoy eased him out and the horse showed a lovely turn of foot to win and win with ease. Could well be another Cups horse for Gai.
Heat Three- Diademe (3rd):
Group l winning mare from New Zealand who tuned up for the Tatts Tiara perhaps with a lovely trial effort here. She sat behind the leaders throughout and the two leaders sprinted clear, but Avdulla didn’t push her at any stage and she looked very impressive.
Heat Seven- Wedding (5th):
Handy filly for Godolphin who hasn’t raced since January, but despite the long break, she looks in great order judging on this trial effort. She sat out the back and wasn’t asked to do much in running fifth, picking her way through the field and going through the line very nicely.
Heat Nine- Bonee Tess (3rd):
Smart filly for Jarrod Austin who looked pretty sharp in this barrier trial. She led at a good clip yet just towed jockey Jess Taylor throughout, and though she was swamped late, she looked pretty good. Could be a midweek city win in her this time in.
