The star quality might be easing down in the Winter months, but there were still some pretty handy efforts at the Flemington jump outs on Friday. Find out down below who caught our eye the most.
BLACK BOOK: Black Book these runners HERE so youย don’t miss their next run!
Flemington- Friday May 8, Weather Fine, Track Good.
Heat Two- Pythagorean (1st):
Chris Waller runner who was terrible last Saturday when resuming at Caulfield, but gee he looks back on track after an outstanding jump out win here where he led all the way and just bolted in. Prepared to forgive him for the Caulfield failure and butter up again.
Heat Four- Moral Outrage (2nd):
Hayes/Dabernig galloper that showed good promise in its first prep, and looks to have come on thanks to a break in the paddock. Showed good speed to lead early on, travelled well, and though caught late, the horse did appear to be going easily and it was a lovely piece of work.
Heat Five- Leica Flyer (1st):
No official record of this horse on RISA/Racing Australia, but this Team Corstens runner was clearly the best of the morning, leading all the way under a big grip from the rider and running sub 45 for the 800m journey, which is just low flying. Best of the morning by a decent margin.
Heat Eight- Topkapi (1st):
Ellerton/Zahra stayer that hasn’t raced since November and looks on track for a strong winter after a pleasing jump out win, sitting on speed throughout before railing up well and hanging on to victory under a nice hold from the rider.
