There were some pretty impressive performances at the Flemington jump outs on Friday. Find out down below who caught our eye the most.
BLACK BOOK: Black Book these runners HERE so youย don’t miss their next run!
Flemington- Friday May 1, Weather Fine, Track Good4.
Heat One- Simply You (1st) and Yellen (2nd):
Both runners haven’t raced since the Summer, but both looked to have come back in great order judging on the way they looked here, controlling the jump out from the front and going on to run 1-2 on the line, with both travelling sweetly and bolting up. Impressive performances from each.
Heat Three- Demonstrate (1st):
Heatherly held the title for best jump out for the year, but we have a new winner here in the shape of Godolphin gelding Demonstrate, who just ambled around Flemington on speed and just bolting in under a big grip. Just back him whenever he resumes; he’ll win.
Heat Four- Goldoni (4th):
Stayer for the Hayes/Dabernig team that hasn’t raced since Cup Week, but he has really impressed at a couple of jump outs, including this one where he sat wide no cover on speed throughout, but looked to travel very sweetly and went to the line under a really good hold from Michael Walker.
Heat Seven- Decircles (1st):
Above average galloper that hasn’t raced since February, but is another that has caught the eye in multiple jump outs. He looked quite sharp in this particular jump out, leading all the way and going through the line strongly under a strong hold from the rider. Demonstrate aside, this was the most impressive runner this morning.
Heat Nine- Sarawak (3rd):
Hasn’t raced since March for the Corstens, but she looks to be set for a successful Winter after this jump out performance here, where she sat wide throughout, but travelled really well in the run and went through the line powerfully under no pressure from the rider. Don’t be surprised to see her run well fresh.
