Saturday’s main race at Randwick Racecourse is the 2010 Chelmsford Stakes over 1600m, only 9 runners will contest the race this year with many of Sydney’s better runners heading to Melbourne. Chris Waller trained Metal Bender has opened as the $2.50 favourite after winning the Warwick Stakes a fortnight ago.
The very impressive run of Metal Bender in the 2010 Warwick Stakes see’s that he goes into Saturdays Chelmsford Stakes at Randwick as the short priced favourite in what looks to be 5YO Geldings ideal distance.
Metal Bender has opened as the $2.50 favourite ahead of Theseo whom also comes out of the Warwick Stakes in which he lead and eventually finished 5th in the race. Theseo has opened at $3.20.

On the third line of betting is another Chris Waller trained runner ‘Triple Honour’ again coming out of the Warwick Stakes behind Metal Bender, Triple Honour has opened at $4.20 and looks to be the value runner of those that came from the Warwick Stakes as we feel he was the run of the race to only narrowly get beaten.
Other runners in the market are Count Encosta and Purple who have both opened at $8.50 and Rainbow Styling at $18.
