Golden Rose favourites Bring Me The Maid and Hallowed Crown have drawn contrasting barriers in the $1 million race for three-year-olds.
Bring Me The Maid, placed in the Golden Slipper last season, will start from gate six while unbeaten Hallowed Crown has drawn one from the outside in barrier 14.
The Golden Rose, run over 1400m at Rosehill on Saturday, is the first Sydney Group One race for the new season.
Kumaon, one of two runners for Godolphin, has drawn the rails while Modoc will start from the outside.
Godolphin will also be represented by Sarajevo, which has drawn the middle of the field in barrier eight for premier jockey James McDonald.
Bring Me The Maid’s stablemate Better Land is confirmed to race in blinkers for the first time and will start from gate 10.
Gai Waterhouse’s lone runner will be Almalad, the only Group One winner in the race.
