Linda Meech maintained her unbeaten record aboard Miss Promiscuity when they combined at Caulfield on Saturday.
Miss Promiscuity was having her first start for the David Hayes and Tom Dabernig training partnership when successful in the Mitsubishi Electric Superscreen Launch Plate (1100m).
The daughter of Magnus started her career with Peter Moody, where Meech guided her to three victories from five starts, before a transfer to Anthony Cummings.
But feet issues influenced owner Robert Crabtree on a change of scenery and she headed to Lindsay Park.
Well supported from $4.80 to $4.40, Miss Promiscuity scored a short neck win over the favourite Minaj ($4) with Miss Steele ($14) 1-3/4 lengths away third.
“We’ve recently put in a new pool and she spends a lot of time in the water walker or pool,” Dabernig said.
“She’s a good sprinting mare and since we’ve had her since been pretty straightforward.”
Meech, who rides sparingly on country tracks for Lindsay Park, said the mount on Miss Promiscuity came about due to her record on the mare as well as her success for Crabtree.
She said that if the mare, now a winner of four of her 10 starts, can maintain her form then she would measure up to a Group One race in Adelaide.
