It could be a big day for in-form jockey James McDonald, who will hold the hopes of many punters attomorrow’s Rosehill meeting.
Online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au has four of McDonald’s mounts as favourite.
In a special market McDonald is $9.00 to ride four winners or zero winners. Arch-rival Tommy Berry, also with a full book of nine rides, is $2.20 to pilot one winner and $51 to ride four.
“Both these boys are in great form and coming off doubles last week. James has an exceptional book of rides and by the end of the day he will be a hero or villain for many punters,’’ said sportsbet.com.au’s Will Byrne.
McDonald’s mounts include First Seal ($1.90) in the Group 1 Vinery and Catkins ($1.75) in the Emancipation Stakes.
Hartnell ($3.50) has been heavily backed to win the Group 1 The BMW, but is second favourite behind To The World ($2.20).
