The feature meeting at Hawkesbury will go ahead on a heavy track with another inspection of the surface on race morning.
The track was rated a heavy 9 on Friday afternoon with rain forecast overnight but stewards said there were no safety concerns.
Hawkesbury, north west of Sydney, hosts NSW’s premier meeting on Saturday with three Group Three races and more than $1 million prize money on offer.
Trainer Gerald Ryan has Bachman and Ygritte in the Hawkesbury Guineas (1400m) and Solicit and Peace Force in the Darley Crown (1300m) and the races are important for the records and also their future plans.
“They are all running,” Ryan said. “We’ll see how Solicit goes but if she doesn’t do well she will be off to stud.
“The plan for Peace Force is to go to Brisbane for the Tatt’s Tiara.
“Bachman is headed to the Queensland Derby and Ygritte will probably go to Scone for the Guineas there in a couple of weeks.
“I’m told there hasn’t been too much rain there today so hopefully it is not too wet.”
Solicit is a dual Group winner and her placings include a third behind Kirramosa in the 2014 VRC Oaks and second to Lucia Valentina in last year’s Vinery Stud Stakes.
Owner David Moodie transferred her from Mat Ellerton and Simon Zahra in Melbourne in the hope a change of scenery could switch her on.
At her first start for Ryan, she ran fourth in the Group Three Guy Walter Stakes on February 28 but failed a week later in the Aspiration Quality at Randwick when she was eased out of the race.
Peace Force is having her first start since her short head second in the Belle Of The Turf Stakes at Gosford in January.
The mare is a half sister to multiple Group One winner Eremein and Ryan believes she has the talent can win at the elite level.
“She is a tough mare who gives her best every time,” Ryan said.
A mishap on the water walker robbed Bachman of the chance to run in the Victoria Derby and Ryan is keen to get him back on a Derby course.
