Superstar Frankel heads the 71 entries for the Coral-Eclipse Stakes at Sandown on July 7 with dual Cox Plate winner So You Think also among the nominations.
The Sir Henry Cecil-trained Frankel is set to tackle a mile and a quarter for the first time at some stage this season and the midsummer feature at the Esher track is one of the races being considered.
There is a stellar list of entries for the Eclipse which offers the first opportunity for the Classic generation to take on their elders at the top level.
The list includes last year’s winner So You Think and current 2000 Guineas favourite Camelot, who are among 22 possibles from the Aidan O’Brien stable.
Other fascinating entries include Monterosso, winner of the 2012 Dubai World Cup for Godolphin, and The Queen’s Carlton House, who has not been seen finishing fourth in the Irish Derby last summer.
