Green Moon will go into Saturday’s Group 1 Cox Plate as the second favourite for the race. Green Moon has had three starts this preparation including a first up fifth in the Memsie Stakes then a close second to Happy Trails in the Dato Tan Chin Nam Stakes before a very impressive and strong win in the Group 1 Turnbull Stakes. He has a great record at the distance and arguably Australia’s if not the worlds best jockey on his back Craig Williams. The only worry is that he is giving the fancied 3YO’s 9.5kg.
