Randwick-
Race One Number 11 Mohave (3rd):
Prepared to forgive him. He was first up and was forced to lead, which isn’t his go. He did travel well and looked home, but his fitness just gave way late and he tired to run third. Trials were good leading up, so don’t drop off.
Race Seven Number 13 Craftiness (2nd):
Blake Shinn wanted to peel outside Rain Affair, but Tommy Berry on Our Boy Malachi put him back to the fence, which wasn’t the place to be. He stuck on very well for a horse who was having his first crack at Stakes level. He’s a definite Group l contender for the Brisbane Winter.

Race Five Number 1 Danuki (2nd):
Enormous in defeat this two year old. Three and four wide no cover on speed and was still fighting at the end. He isn’t top class, but he’ll win his fair share of races.
Race Six Number 1 Trust In A Gust (2nd):
From a betting perspective, he was disappointing, but he was left in front 400m out and given he has bigger fish to fry, his fitness just couldn’t hold out. He’s on track for Brisbane. It was a good return.
Race Nine Number 8 Politeness (1st):
Big, big win from this star mare. Sat back, shoved into the clear and savaged the line to win. Wouldn’t surprise me if she won the Tatt’s Tiara (1350m) at the end of the Brisbane Winter.

Race Five Number 3 Malavio (Last):
Ridden back he finds the line and teases. Ridden forward he drops out and runs last. His winning days are over.
Race Six Number 12 Terravista (12th):
Yes he copped interference, yes he was three wide no cover…but gee he was very weak in the straight. I said before his first up run that his trials were ordinary, and as a whole, he has lived up to that this prep. World’s best sprinter…sure.
