Fourteen trials were conducted on Tuesday morning at Rosehill, and while all the talk was around Vancouver, there were some tidy efforts from other gallopers. Find out who caught out attention the most down below:

Rosehill- Tuesday, September 1, Weather Fine, Track Soft 5.
Heat Two- Dark Steel (1st):
Very talented colt for Gai who is yet to break his maiden status, but he will be doing it when he resumes. He has looked awesome in trials this time in, this one included, where he led all the way under McDonald, who was a bit wayward in the straight, but once McDonald put the whip in the left hand, he responded brilliantly and won with ease.
Heat Five- Catkins (3rd) and Kaepernick (4th):
Star studded barrier trial with loads of class and quality engaged. These two caught my eye the most. Catkins sat off the speed before Bowman peeled him out on the turn and cruised to the line under a hold. As for Kaepernick, he sat back in the ruck before sticking to the inside and finishing off the trial very nicely under little pressure. This trial should be followed with confidence.
Heat Seven- All Cerise (1st):
Talented yet frustrating mare for Chris Waller. In saying that, she looked outstanding in this barrier trial. She sat three wide on speed for the entire trip before cruising to the lead on the turn under Jim Cassidy and she strode clear to win the trial under triple wraps. She is set for a fruitful Spring…hopefully.
