There were some pretty impressive efforts at the Flemington jump outs on Friday, with a Chris Waller galloper looking pretty sharp in winning. Find out down below who caught our eye the most.

Flemington- Friday, July 10, Weather Fine, Track Good.

Heat One- What A Hoot (1st):

Handy gelding for the Corstens yard who ran a couple of weeks at Bendigo and was terrible. Came here and looked pretty impressive. He sat behind the speed pretty much most of the way before peeling out close to the turn and going to the line nicely to win narrowly but nicely, and ran a tick over 45 for the 800m distance, which is low flying for Flemington.

Heat Two- Hilarious Honour (1st):

Chris Waller galloper that has struggled at his past two outings in New South Wales and is now at the Flemington stable. He looked pretty sharp in winning this jump out. He led, and though keen, he was travelling very nicely and though wasn’t knocked about, he won it and did it easily. Melbourne life seems to be liking this galloper.

Heat Three- Melting Moment (2nd):

Handy mare that hasn’t raced since January, but she looks to have come back in pretty good order based on this jump out effort. She got away well from the gates to hold a forward spot near the inside. She railed up well over the concluding stages and though beaten, she looked to travel very nicely and looks set for a good campaign.

Heat Five- Onerous (5th):

Talented three year old for Team Hawkes who hasn’t raced since February when midfield in the Zeditave. Looks well above average and he looked sharp in this jump out. He sat out the back in the six horse field and wasn’t asked to extend at any stage by Dunn. It’ll be really interesting to see where he gets to this time in, but he could well pick up a Stakes race or two.
