Nick Hall will consider appealing against an eight-meeting careless riding suspension incurred at Flemington on Saturday.
Racing Victoria stewards found that Hall, the rider of Testalux in the Life Saving Victoria Race To The Rescue Hcp (2000m), crossed the topweight Red Buttons when less than the required two lengths clear 100m after the start.
The interference suffered by Red Buttons was rated in the low range.
Hall, who pleaded not guilty, will begin the suspension on Tuesday and can return to race riding on Wednesday, February 1.
As the suspension stands, Hall will miss three metropolitan meetings – four Listed races at Caulfield next Thursday, the Group Two Australia Stakes at Moonee Valley next Friday night and Sandown next Saturday.
